My major is Broadcast Journalism and     my minor is Political Science. My love of journalism coupled with my political ambitions point to strong traits of leadership and drive in my personality.     I have great ambitions to one day become a prominent figure on a major news network and I continually work exceedingly hard to push through every obstacle     in my way. During my schooling, not only was I involved in multiple clubs, volunteering, and internships, I was also Editor-in-Chief of my middle school     newspaper and reported for my high school’s student-run television network. I brought to fruition student activities to help our school go green. We ran an online publication so I became     proficient with online editing and managing our website layout. I also edited stories and reviewed details of events prior to publication to ensure that     everything was accurate and up-to-date. </p> <p align=”center”>     <strong> </strong> </p> <p>     <strong><em>The Goldwater Institute, </em></strong>     Phoenix, AZ February 2015 – May 2015 </p> <p>     <em>Staff Intern</em> </p> <p>     I worked in the Goldwater office assisting the staff with researching votes on nation-wide legislation. During my time there I also compiled expense     reports on Microsoft Excel. Other than technical work, I assisted in running errands and making sure all the odds and ends about the office were kept on   track. My responsibilities included conducting     interviews with coaches and team players, as well as filming and editing the interviews. I then submitted written articles to the Fox Sports website     regarding the event. </p> <h3>     ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER NEWSPAPER, Santa Ana, CA June 2012 – August 2012 </h3> <p>     <em>Intern</em> </p> <p>     The summer before my senior year I worked for the Orange County Register newspaper. I was one of 40 high school kids across all of Orange County to receive     an internship. I worked closely with actual newspaper writers/editors and conducted interviews out in the field.
